Bolton Museum and Archive Service is seen as a standard bearer of customer service excellence

At Bolton Museum and Archive Service we strive to deliver a visitor experience that is welcoming, engaging and memorable and attentive to the needs of our visitors.

All our staff receive extensive training in customer service because we see visitor satisfaction as the central function and purpose of our work.

According to The Sector Skills Council for Creative and Cultural Industries, a government backed organisation currently undertaking research into customer service standards across Britain, in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games, Bolton Museum and Archive Service is seen

‘as one of the top five employers for customer service in the Museum sector’.


Bolton Museum and Archive Service will be assisting with this research in the near future as The Sector Skills Council;
