Fish
All of the fish at Bolton Aquarium are freshwater fish, whose natural habitats are streams, rivers or lakes. Each display in the aquarium is intended to represent a particular habitat and contains species which can be found together in nature. All the exhibits are designed to allow the inhabitants to show as many of their natural behaviour patterns as possible and to limit the possibility of any stress.
The aquarium team try to ensure that our visitors are able to observe the fish being fed, particularly on Saturdays, and this will usually be announced on the public address system.
