Browse a selection from our Georgian print collection


Bolton Library and Museum Services hold a large collection of prints from the Georgian period as well as a few from before and after this time. These are made up of caricatures, political cartoons, stately homes and various other kinds of prints.

There are some by famous names such as Isaac Cruikshank and his sons Robert and George, Thomas Rowlandson, James Gilray, William Heath and Tim Bobbin (real name John Collier).
