Menat counterpoise

Wooden menat counterpoise from a menat or ceremonial necklace, particularly associated with the worship of Hathor and when made in wood usually a votive item. Carved plainly with a disc-shaped end, from which the stem widens to a roughly squared end, which is pierced with two holes. Undecorated.From a votive necklace or an offering on its own.From North Court, through which was causeway to Tuthmosis III temple.
