The objects seen here are from Anglezarke Moor.
White Coppice on Anglezarke was mined for lead, barium and copper from around 1700 till 1830. Mine workings can still be seen at Lead Mines Clough.

Group of minerals found at Anglezarke moor in Bolton

A number of different minerals are present in these specimens. The metallic grey mineral is Galena, the source of the lead they were mining.

Witherite and barite, sources of barium, can also be identified. Sphalerite, a minor source of zinc, is also present.
