Opening times for school visits
Opening times for guided visits and booked groups is usually from 11.00 until 17:00 hrs. Educational Workshops usually run between 10:00 and 12:00 or 13:00 and 15:00. Full day sessions are also available.
Teacher / Pupil Ratio
A minimum of 4 adults per class must accompany all Primary school groups. A minimum of 2 adults must accompany all Secondary groups.Access
We currently have wheelchair access into the Great Hall and Dining Room but due to the nature of the premises there is restricted access to the rest of the building.
Cloakroom
A small area is available for coats and lunches to be left.
Eating Facilities
You are advised to bring packed lunches if intending to stay over lunchtime. At present we are unable to provide these. We are able to offer limited indoor space for lunch breaks and can offer ample outdoor picnic areas. Indoor space is limited to accomodating only 30 pupils.
Toilets
Toilets are located outside at the back of the Hall. Please ask a member of staff at the Hall for these to be opened for you. We regret that at present our toilet facilities are limited and unsuitable for wheelchair users. We are currently working to improve the facilities.
Access

Shop
Hall i’ th’ Wood Museum has a small shop selling a range of items costing between 35p and £2.00. If pupils would like to use the shop please advise us when you make your booking.
