Your pupils will be able to participate in fun, educational activities,
which will encourage them to examine both rich and poor people from
Tudor times.
Venue:
- Hall i' th Wood Museum.
Aim:
- To provide pupils with a greater understanding of Tudor life through a range of enjoyable, exciting and inspirational activities, including the opportunity to dress up in costume and become a real Tudor character.
Objectives:
- Meet Master or Mistress Brownlow and re-live life in a Tudor merchant household from the late16th Century.
- Be transformed into characters from the past, including servants and members of the Brownlow family; the Elizabethan owners of Hall i’ th’ Wood.
- Participate in an exciting tour of the Great Hall, Bedroom, Kitchen and Dairy.
- Discover the difference between rich and poor people in a Tudor household.
- Investigate Tudor household artefacts.
Extend your Tudor experience into the afternoon with these optional activities:
- Create a traditional pomander and write with quill pens.
- Participate in Tudor dancing.
