Announcing our Arts Award Welcome status

The Crescent in Bolton is pleased to announce its Arts Award Welcome status.  Our services, which include Bolton Central Library, Museum, Bolton History Centre and Arts Development team, can help you achieve your Arts Award in a variety of ways:

Being an audience member or meeting an arts professional

The Library and Museum can support group visits and individual tours including the opportunity to find out more about what happens behind the scenes.

We can also offer Q&A sessions with our staff, covering particular aspects of our collections or routes into careers in libraries, museums and art galleries.  We offer a maximum of 10 Q&A sessions per year, lasting a maximum of 2 hours.

Researching an arts hero or heroine

The Library and Bolton History Centre can help with research topics linked to the Arts Award, whether that is researching a local arts hero or heroine or someone with a national or international profile.

We offer a maximum of 10 research sessions per year, lasting a maximum of 2 hours.

Advice and guidance

The Arts Development team can provide advice on different elements of an arts project.   This could include support in finding a venue or identifying an artist to run a workshop.

We offer a maximum of 10 advice sessions per year, lasting a maximum of 1 hour.
