Bolton's Egyptian Objects Become Quest for Immortality Exhibition
During the months of May and June, the Egyptian Gallery will see considerable changes and need to be closed several times so we can prepare for this exhibition. New objects have already been added to replace some of those that will travel to Taipei, but many more will join them in the next few months. A curator and conservator from Bolton Museum will travel to Taipei with the objects and install them in the Quest for Immortality Exhibition.
In late June, the Egyptian Gallery will begin to be reorganised and objects currently in storage will be exhibited. This is an exciting opportunity to show some of Bolton's outstanding collection in a new way. This may mean that there will be some disruption to the exhibition during the time we are working on this new display. We expect this process to take several months.
You will be able to follow the progress of the Quest for Immortality Exhibition and the changes to the Egyptian Gallery at Bolton Museum on our website, on our Facebook pages, and on Twitter.
