Regional media cover hand axe exhibition
First thing on Thursday morning, David Craven, Collections Assistant (Geology) was interviewed about the Made in Africa exhibition live on BBC Radio Manchester by local DJ Terry Christian.
Later on in the day he was also interviewed by Channel M, the Manchester cable station.
They also filmed Nick Ashton of the British Museum while he briefed Museum staff about the hand axes.
These training sessions mean that Customer Service staff will be able to pass on to the public the detailed story of how these important artifacts came into existence.
As a result staff will be on hand for the duration of the exhibition in order to give the public access to handling objects.
