125th anniversary of Bolton Museum logoOn the eve of Bolton’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations, visit Bolton Museum for a timely look at the Museum’s collection of war memorials.



  • Find out what war memorials can tell us about Bolton’s people, history and societies.
  • See the faces and hear the stories behind some of the names recorded
  • Learn how to decode and translate the language and symbols used on war memorials.
  • Hear about the Museum’s ongoing project to redisplay some of the war memorials at suitable locations in the borough.

Free, informal lunchtime talk with tea and Coffee provided. Part of Bolton Museum and Archive Services 125th year anniversary celebration. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to the lecture.
